Elbow Injury

Injuries are a part of life; how the injury is handled, determines how well a successful recovery will occur. Elbow injuries occur most commonly during Sports or recreational activities, Work-related tasks & Falls. Elbow joint is made up of bone, cartilage, ligaments and fluid. Muscles and tendons help the elbow joint move. When any of these structures is hurt or diseased, you have elbow problems. Elbow injuries can be minor or serious and may include symptoms such as pain, swelling, numbness, tingling, weakness, or decreased range of motion. Common elbow injuries seen are Bursitis, Tennis Elbow, Golfer's Elbow, Muscle Strains, Fractures, etc. Move to range of motion exercises, regaining flexion and extension as needed. Incorporate exercises that will help build strength and stability to the joint are some of recovery from elbow injuries.
