Auricular diagnostics is a traditional diagnostic method based on the analysis of changes in the adaptive-trophic nature in the acupuncture points of the ear, that helps to diagnose the violation of the functions of internal organs and body systems.
Currently, according to the international classification, 110 points are distinguished on the outer surface of the ear, like a mirror representing the entire human body. The examination is carried out by examination, measurement of electrical conductivity, determination of pain sensitivity at the signal points of acupuncture and palpation of the ear shells.
Auricular diagnostics makes it possible to carry out an integral assessment of the state of human health, to carry out nonspecific topical diagnostics of diseases of organs and systems of the body, to draw up individual schemes of reflex action and to evaluate the dynamics of the treatment being carried out.
How does it work?
On the first step Reflexotherapist is examining the auricle to determine the features of its relief and general comparisons with the cartography of the auricle and checking the skin by using a magnifying glass for identification of skin changes (hyperemia, scales, elevations, etc.), which helps in indicating the chronic disease of the organ, that is projecting onto the area of the auricle. Further, the Specialist is searching for points with altered sensitivity in the auricle by using a special probe to determine tactile sensitivity, sensitivity to cooling and heat, as well as by using a device for detecting the difference in the electrical resistance of the skin in the area of the point.
